CookitEasy was founded by Dos Pueblos High School Student, Margherita Scussat. Margherita’s parents are first-generation immigrants from Italy, so she grew up with rich Italian cooking in her lifestyle. Margherita started CookitEasy with the hope of sharing her love for cooking healthy, homemade meals and to inspire fellow students to do the same.
Margherita first came up with idea upon reading disheartening statistics regarding obesity and the unhealthy lifestyles that most of the US population has adopted over the years. Margherita still can't fathom how it's possible that the US is so technologically advanced and yet is still are behind in the realm of food and health.

In her free time Margherita enjoys baking, learning new recipes from her family members, playing volleyball, and sailing. Margherita finds baking and cooking very relaxing, and she adores getting creative and personalizing recipes. If you view cooking as less of a chore, but more of a form of artistic expression, it is no different than art.
Overall, Margherita wants to demonstrate to everyone that cooking is fun and a valuable skill to have for later in life. She hopes to achieve this through CookitEasy.

En su tiempo libre, a Margherita le gusta hornear, aprender nuevas recetas, jugar al voleibol y navegar. A Margherita le parece muy relajante cocinar y hornear. Además, ella adora ser creativa y personalizar las recetas. Ella piensa que cocinar no es una tarea, es una forma de expresión artística. En general, Margherita quiere demostrarles a todos que cocinar es divertido y una habilidad valiosa para tener más adelante en la vida. Ella espera lograr eso a través de CookitEasy.
